Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea is a potentially life-threatening medical disorder that causes your body to stop breathing during sleep. The muscles in your throat relax and the tongue may fall back and block the airway as you sleep, reducing the amount of oxygen delivered to all of your organs including your heart and brain. People with sleep apnea may snore loudly and stop breathing for short periods of time. The breathing pauses from sleep cause your body to briefly wake while you remain unaware. This can happen hundreds of times per night, and you may wake up feeling unrefreshed.

Dr. Ryan has special training in treating patients with Sleep Apnea. Call us today to schedule a consultation if you think you may be suffering from symptoms of Sleep Apnea.

Dr. Ryan has had additional training in orthodontics, which allows us to offer our patients limited orthodontic treatment right in our office. If your orthodontic needs are beyond our scope of treatment, we will refer you to an orthodontist.

Cold Sore Laser Therapy

Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus which often appears after a cold, stress, sun burn, chapped lips, hormonal changes, trauma, or the flu. It affects 15 to 45% of the population and there is no cure.

Laser treatment for a cold sore is a fast, painless procedure. It can be performed by Dr. Ryan to any cold sore lesion on the lips. Laser treatment is most effective if the cold sore is treated at the first sign of outbreak. The treatment also significantly reduces the chance of another cold sore recurring in the area that was treated.
